Diary- Apr 2010

Apr 29: 368 Plan Re-Start
368 is the total number of townships and districts in Taiwan. The plan is to visit a township, find one of the stamp spots (usually in tourist attractions and specialty shops or restaurants, also in most convenience stores) in that township, and put the stamp in the booklet, which contains small maps of Taiwan. After you finish the collection, you can proudly say you have been to every corner of Taiwan. I always wanted to finish it, but ended up with 40% finishing rate before I headed to Holland. You really need to be a bit stupid to really want to do it. Anyway I will visit South Taiwan from tomorrow and see how it goes.

I made this travel map for my dad, who has been a tour guide for 25 years. This is not complete, but already impressive enough.

Can do a lot of things when out of a job. Reading, running, swimming, volunteering, or just relaxing. And there are many public lectures worth to go. Just found an old NTU buliding that is renovated as an art center, and the performance and cast are of the highest caliber. In Taipei we also have cheap second-round cinema where you can watch a whole day of film for only 130NT. You don't get paid for doing all this, though.
